Preserves and Hiking

The preserves and parkland of Westchester County are diverse and varied in size. Rockefeller State Park offers a lake which is especially beautiful in the Autumn, and fun to cross country ski around in the winter snow. Pound Ridge is very popular among the trekers and there are also beautiful places like “The Open Land” in North Salem that are great for enjoying the beauty of open meadows and horses, which may be in distant or near view.

For those willing to venture farther north, Cold Spring is 45 minutes from Dobbs Ferry but offers trails which climb up to viewpoints of the Hudson and Storm King Mountain.
